Onome
Agesse-Egbo

With deep roots in film production and experience across roles ranging from production support to lead producer, she brings a practical, ground-up understanding of what it takes to move an idea from concept to completion.

Today, Onome continues her long-standing collaboration with Laju Iren Films, where she previously worked full-time and now contributes on a contract basis. Her recent work spans screen, stage, and commercial production. She served as Line Producer on the British Council series Generation to Generation, produced in partnership with EbonyLife, and produced Surrounded, the BFF Festival's first stage play in its four-year history. She has also delivered commercial production work for AdvoKC.

Her work on Onobiren: A Woman's Story (2026), which crossed ₦100 million at the Nigerian box office and earned multiple festival awards, reflects her commitment to producing stories that resonate with audiences and travel beyond their point of origin.

At the core of Onome's work is a dedication to elevating women's narratives across Africa — a value that shapes the projects she leads, whether on screen, on stage, through creative programs, or behind the scenes.
